These terms govern your use of the Our House website (thisisourhouse.co.za) and any purchases made through it. By using this site or purchasing a ticket, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Our House operates as a bar, shisha lounge, and music venue trading under the name Our House, located at Bridge Street, South End, Gqeberha, 6001, Eastern Cape, South Africa.

These disclosures are made in accordance with Section 43 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECT Act).
You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You must not:
- Use the site in any way that violates South African law or these terms
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or our systems
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or harvest content without our written consent
- Resell or commercially exploit content from this site without permission
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user we reasonably believe is violating these terms.
Tickets purchased through our website grant entry to a specific Our House event on the date and time stated on the ticket. The following conditions apply:
- Age restriction.All events are strictly 18 and older. Valid South African ID, passport, or driver's licence is required at the door. Entry will be refused without valid proof of age — no exceptions, no refund.
- Right of admission reserved. Our House reserves the right to refuse entry at its sole discretion, including for inappropriate dress, intoxication, or disruptive behaviour.
- Ticket is personal. Tickets may not be resold or transferred for profit. Fraudulent or duplicated tickets will be void.
- Event changes. We reserve the right to change artists, performers, set times, or other event details. Such changes do not entitle you to a refund unless the event is cancelled entirely.
- Venue rules. By entering the venue you agree to comply with all house rules, including no recording of performances without permission and no outside food or beverages.
All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes. Payment is processed securely through our payment provider at the time of purchase. We accept major debit and credit cards.
We do not store your card details. All payment data is handled by our payment provider subject to their own security standards and terms.
Your order is confirmed only once payment has been successfully authorised and you have received a confirmation email. A confirmation email is your proof of purchase — save it.
Event cancellation by us. If we cancel an event, you will receive a full refund to your original payment method within 7 business days.
Event postponement. If an event is postponed, your ticket remains valid for the rescheduled date. If you cannot attend the new date, you may request a refund within 5 business days of the postponement announcement.
Change of mind. Tickets are non-refundable once purchased unless the event is cancelled or postponed. We do not offer refunds for change of mind, illness, or failure to attend.
To request a refund where applicable, email hello@thisisourhouse.co.za with your order reference number.
These refund terms are consistent with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Under the CPA, you have a right to receive goods or services as described, and to a refund if we fail to deliver as advertised.
Our House is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all guests. The following conduct will result in immediate removal from the premises with no refund:
- Harassment, discrimination, or threatening behaviour toward any person
- Possession or use of illegal substances
- Damage to venue property
- Disregarding the reasonable instructions of staff or security
- Violent or aggressive behaviour
We comply with South African liquor legislation and reserve the right to refuse service of alcohol to any person who appears intoxicated or who is under 18 years of age.
All content on this website — including text, images, logos, graphics, and design — is owned by or licensed to Our House. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content without our prior written consent.
Performers, artists, and DJs appearing at Our House events retain their own intellectual property rights. Unauthorised recording or broadcast of performances is prohibited.
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law:
- Our House is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or attendance at our events
- We are not responsible for the loss or theft of personal belongings at the venue
- We are not liable for technical failures, payment provider outages, or errors that are outside our reasonable control
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act or any other applicable South African law.
Our website may link to third-party websites (such as social media platforms). We have no control over the content or privacy practices of those sites and accept no responsibility for them. Links do not constitute endorsement.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the website shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
We may revise these terms at any time. The effective date above will reflect the date of the most recent update. Continued use of the website or purchase of tickets after a change constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
